Neck & Shoulder Pain: Feel Better, Sleep Better
A stiff neck or tight shoulders can affect your sleep, your work, and your mood. With 25 years of experience, Dr. Dan helps people turn their heads freely again, sleep through the night, and get back to the things they love, step by step. Here are a few simple things you can start today.
How You Sleep Matters
Best: on your back with a low, supportive pillow and a pillow under your knees.
Good: on your side with a firmer, higher pillow and a pillow between your knees.
Avoid: on your stomach. It keeps your neck twisted for hours.
Choosing the Right Pillow
Your pillow should keep your head level with your spine. A buckwheat pillow is a great option because you can add or remove the hulls to set the perfect height, and it holds its shape all night. Contour foam and latex pillows can also work well.
